Challenge

The Spanish company APLI machinery builds machines for agriculture. One of their key products was the fruit drying tunnel. They were already selling model A and B (according to their customer space and layout), and found that B performed better but didn´t know the reason. They were also aiming to improve the efficiency and reduce the power consumption. We provided a diagnosis analysis  and understood what happened with the hot air flux inside the tunnel, and suggested two possible future design options. We reached a solution that improved the efficiency in a 22% and saved 16K € per prototype that we avoided building and the correspondent manufacturing time.
